From John Webb at Marine Works (August 5, 2024)
Hello and good afternoon Central Kentucky Tournament Fishermen and Women. Today is an exciting day. The time has come to share with you the announcement that I have mentioned some weeks ago. This is a rather long read-so bear with me during this message.
Over the course of the last 16 months, I simply cannot tell you in a few words how many businesses, fishermen, tournament fans and general interested individuals here in our area as well as other areas around the region, have reached out to me regarding the Trifecta Series and what it meant to them over the last 5 years. These conversations were very humbling, rewarding and insightful alike.
I am certainly appreciative of each of you that supported our Series and its meaning to our Fishermen. I'm a firm believer that the Trifecta Series ultimately brought us all together as a group that shared new and old friendships, good times my interacting with each other together and all the while grow the Series to be the best paying series anywhere.
I have been fortunate enough over these last 5 years to have spoken with many Tournament Directors, Organization Officers, Businesses and affiliates in many Counties in Kentucky as well as a few other States...... that are in disbelief as to how we are able to deliver the payouts consistently in our series.
The initial design, format and execution of our Series is a simple one. (We are a NON-PROFIT SERIES-WE PAY IT ALL BACK TO OUR MEMBERSHIP). Some have asked why would we do this? It's a simple answer.
We all still have the Passion and Excitement to compete and know we are getting our hard-earned dollars accounted for while fishing, opposed to wondering where the money went in other organizations. In today's landscape- THAT MEANS EVERYTHING!
We are proud to say that every cent has been accounted for since day one and that is why we can do what no other can. We are not a profit center! We are here for YOU! We have been here and will always be here with the best interest of the Fishermen and Women in mind.
That being said, the "Trifecta Series" has been on a mission to offer the best paying tournament in the region for our members. I am positive that we were able to deliver this for 5 straight years to our membership.
As I sit here today and review many documents, entries, photos from our original tournament some years back- the TRIFECTA SERIES has grown some 102 % in 5 seasons which is an astounding number in itself..... all because we supported each other. This Series is about participation. We want to see you do well and bring the best you can to our events. Pay your entry fee, execute on the water, bring your fish to the scales and get an incredible cash reward for your efforts in front of some of .... if not the best fishermen and women in Central Kentucky. It's a simple concept and it works. National Touring Series care about Profit-The TRIFECTA SERIES cares about YOU! This is one of many reasons why we need to all support our local businesses that share the same thoughts about why they support and participate in our Series. For this we are very thankful to all whom have supported us as we have grown. Without you- we are just the average tournament with no direction. We are excited that we have direction-because we have you our Fishermen and Women!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would now like to share with each of you that we are bringing back "YOUR TOURNAMENT SERIES" The 2025 TRIFECTA will once again be back in full swing with 5 qualifying events to be held here on Lake Herrington. (Our Classic date, location and weigh in site and further information will be determined at a later date as there are some additional choices on our table for our Classic in 2025).
*Our Schedule of qualifying events is currently a top priority for our committee, and we will be working very hard to have our schedule completed this week at the latest. We want to ensure that our schedule will be out prior to the start season so we can properly prepare for the 2025 season.
*Our Tournament Rules, Fees and Tournament Structure has been completed and will be shared with all of you in the coming days.
I currently have a very long list of Partners, Sponsors, Supporters that are 100% on board with the Series and more coming in as we speak. If I may ask- if you are interested in being a part of this Series-please by all means reach out to me as soon as possible to discuss your options and interest. Our entire membership would appreciate you being involved.
We're very excited to have you! We hope you enjoy this 2024 Fishing Season with us!
